Every call is answered by a triage-trained, licensed nurse and managed based on protocols customized for your agency. Our mission is simple: To improve the lives of nurses and patients.

Our History

Founded in 2008, IntellaTriage has experienced exponential growth. Here’s a timeline of our history, from our humble beginnings to today.

Conception

IntellaTriage was founded after a poor personal experience with after-hours hospice care. As caregiver for an elderly grandparent while still juggling her career and family, Suzi Meschbach did not have a “normal” schedule and oftentimes had questions or needed assistance during after-hours. Through her experience communicating with non-clinical answering services or nurses who didn’t have the patient record readily accessible, Suzi came up with an idea to deliver prompt, quality after-hours care with trained nurses who could access the full patient record.

IntellaTriage Launch

In late 2008, IntellaTriage officially launched and started providing service to our first customer: one small hospice agency.

Service-Market Fit

From 2008 to 2015, we tested several different models for after-hours care to determine the best fit for patients, nurses, and management. This research allowed us to find the ideal solution in the hospice and home health market. During this period, IntellaTriage also expanded into new segments of the market – testing unique service models for health plans and provider groups.

Expansion

From 2015 to 2019, IntellaTriage entered a time of rapid expansion as we perfected our different solutions and continued to deliver excellent service to our customers and their patients. During this period, CMS clarified its approval for the use of external after-hours services in hospice and home health service models.

IntellaTriage Innovation

Today, IntellaTriage continues to add best-in-class analytics and increase interoperability, including the launch of its proprietary platform, IntellaHub. IntellaHub is an interactive platform that enables better care team communication, accurate documentation directly in patient medical records, and groundbreaking data collection and benchmark reporting. Its AI-powered tools are customized according to agency protocols to guide IntellaTriage’s licensed nurses through the most appropriate triage based on time of day, day of week, and provider clinical directives.

Daniel Reese
Chief Executive Officer

Daniel Reese

Chief Executive Officer

Daniel oversees all operations and strategic direction at IntellaTriage. He has spent his entire career in operations and loves the tangible results achieved every day. In previous roles, Daniel worked in an investment firm managing a fast-growing consumer-facing platform. He has also overseen new market development for his family business and served in the U.S. Navy as a submarine officer. Daniel received his Bachelor’s from the United States Naval Academy and his MBA from Harvard Business School. In his free time, Daniel enjoys DIY projects, running, and anything outdoors. He is from the Nashville area and recently returned with his wife, Elizabeth, and their daughter, Nora.

Harrison Tucker

Chief of Staff

Harrison Tucker serves IntellaTriage as Chief of Staff, bringing deep experience as a health tech operator and a strong track record of advancing remote-care and post-acute service models. Prior to joining IntellaTriage, Harrison led implementation and operations strategy at a remote care company, where he helped scale clinical programs and streamline operational execution. At IntellaTriage, Harrison plays a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives and supporting organizational growth. He partners closely with the the leadership team to enhance the provider and patient experience while improving internal alignment and execution. Harrison works to facilitate communication, strengthen operational excellence, and ensure key projects advance IntellaTriage’s mission: improving the lives of nurses and patients. Harrison and his young family live on the outskirts of Nashville where he can continue to enjoy his passion: music, music, and more music.

Jordan Stroupe

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Jordan oversees the financial and HR operations of IntellaTriage, providing insight into results and partnering with leadership to drive profitable growth. He has 12 years of experience in several FP&A roles across the consumer services, restaurant, and specialty retail industries. Most recently, Jordan oversaw the financial operations of the distribution center network for Williams-Sonoma. He is passionate about building solid foundational relationships across the business to drive results. Jordan received his undergraduate degree from the University of Memphis, majoring in finance and marketing. He also earned his Master of Finance degree from the University of Memphis. Jordan and his wife Amber are proud parents of their son Henry and daughter Olivia. In their free time, they are typically at one of the kids’ extracurricular activities – Olivia loves to dance, and Henry is into several sports. In addition, their family loves to travel and explore new places, particularly the mountains and the beach.

Liam Barry

Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer, Liam Barry manages technology strategy and innovation, security, client and employee support, & daily tech operations. Liam oversees ongoing enhancements to our technology platform, ensuring state-of-the-art technology supports our nurses and the patients they care for. In addition, his role in easing the friction between technology and our nursing team will enable our nurses to provide exceptional service to our clients and patients with a seamless end-to-end experience. Liam was born and raised in Cork, Ireland, eventually moving to the US in 2001. He attended college in Ireland and brings over 20 years of IT experience to IntellaTriage. Liam and his wife are founding board members of the Nashville Gaelic Athletic Club (NGAC). An avid sports fan, Liam is a season ticket holder of the Nashville Soccer Club and a lifelong supporter of Manchester United. He travels back home to Ireland annually to visit family and loves to head to his favorite US destination, New Orleans, whenever he gets a chance.

Taylor Smith brings over 15 years of experience leading operations, growth and strategy teams within investor–backed healthcare organizations. Throughout his career, he has remained focused on building scalable, high-performing teams and operational platforms that drive improved patient outcomes and experience. As COO at IntellaTriage, he brings a results-driven approach focused on aligning clinical, operational, and financial priorities, while fostering a collaborative and innovative culture. In his role, Taylor oversees a team of highly dynamic nursing and operations professionals, with a goal of supporting team growth and retention. He is passionate about ensuring patients receive the care they deserve with each nursing interaction and is committed to delivering measurable value for IntellaTriage’s nurses, patients and provider partners. Outside of work, you’ll find Taylor spending time with his wife and their three children. He loves spending time outdoors playing golf, watching his children play sports and hiking near their family cottage in the mountains near Monteagle, TN. He holds a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and loves cheering on his Tennessee Volunteers.

Rob Queener

Vice President of Operations

Rob joined the IntellaTriage team in the Nashville office as Vice President of Operation and has since shifted to Vice President of Business Transformation. Rob began his career in the United States Marine Corps, serving as a Combat Engineer Officer and deployed overseas to support Operation Enduring Freedom. After his service, Rob worked for DaVita, managing a region of dialysis clinics and getting to know the ins and outs of operations in a healthcare environment. Rob loves that his role allows him to work closely with front-line nurses every day. Rob received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee. He majored in history and completed his Master of Business Administration at Vanderbilt University, concentrating on operations, healthcare, and strategy. Rob is originally a native of the Nashville area and is excited to return with his wife, Chloe. He is a huge sports fan and loves all things Tennessee sports. Rob also enjoys traveling with his wife to new places, being on any body of water, golf, and finding new TV shows/movies to watch.

As SVP of Sales, Gio is responsible for the leadership, direction, and resource stewardship of IntellaTriage’s overall sales function. He brings 15 years of experience in the post-acute care industry, 13 of which were dedicated to the home care and hospice space. Before joining the IntellaTriage team, Gio worked with Quality in Real Time (QIRT) and McBee Associates. In the process, he built extensive relationships with key industry stakeholders and honed his industry knowledge. Gio resides in northeast Ohio and is a proud father of two young girls. He is married to his wife Julie, a registered nurse, whom he met at Kent State while completing an undergraduate degree in biochemistry. Outside of the office, you can find him taking weekend camper adventures or hunting birdies on the golf course.

As Vice President of Marketing for IntellaTriage, Bernadette Smith is responsible for marketing strategies and the coordination of marketing operations. Passionate about supporting the industry, she will expand education and thought leadership for hospice and home health providers across the U.S. Bernadette is a multi-faceted professional with nearly ten years in the post-acute industry. Before joining IntellaTriage, Bernadette led marketing and communications at QIRT (now McBee Associates) and was most recently managing director of the LTC100 Intelligence Group at Lincoln Healthcare Leadership. Bernadette is a mother to four exceptional children, an avid runner, and a local activist. Outside of IntellaTriage, you can find Bernadette failing miserably to improve her marathon times and exceeding expectations in her goals of traveling with her husband, enjoying live music, and trying new adventures.

Carla Winslett, RN

Vice President of Nursing

As VP of Nursing, Carla manages over 300 remote nurses across the nation. She draws on her expertise in hospice and home health, proven leadership skills, and operations management track record to support the company as it grows. Carla has been a registered nurse for 30 years. Her experience began in pediatrics and NICU but quickly transitioned to LTC and community health nursing. She has been in the hospice industry for the past 20 years, supporting patients in various roles, such as case manager, on-call nurse, admit nurse, ED, and AVP. Carla has opened new hospices, been a team lead in acquisitions, and been involved in all parts of hospice operations. Carla firmly believes that hospice has been her calling in this life. Outside of nursing, Carla enjoys spending time on the lake, is an avid sports fan, and loves all things family-related. She was born and raised in Alabama and has been in Nashville for eight years, and she and her family love it. She is married with three daughters - their youngest is a sophomore at the University of Alabama, so they are essentially empty nesters - and loving it!
